Hunting in BC Canada for Mule Deer, Moose, Black Bear,
Mountain Lion, Lynx, Bobcat, and Timber Wolf

Our area is home to numerous species of huntable game including Mule Deer, Moose, Mountain Lion, Lynx, Bobcat, Black Bear and Timber Wolf. Game populations are currently at very healthy levels due to milder winters and effective management policies. The area’s terrain ranges in elevation between 2200 - 4500 ft and is made up of a variety of landscapes.

This area offers a multitude of hunting opportunities for some of North America’s most sought-after species of big game. We take pride in ensuring that every client has a first-rate experience while hunting with us and, along with our vast knowledge of the area and its game, we expend 110% effort on every hunt.

About the Outfitter: Raised in the Cariboo region of central British Columbia, Canada, Brent Giles took to the outdoors at an early age and developed a deep passion for big game hunting. Brent began his guiding career at age 22 and spent the next decade working for several different outfitters in B.C. In 2008 the opportunity arose to acquire the guiding rights to an area that Brent had spent many years hunting in and knew to hold some great hunting potential. With the purchase of this area, Mico Outdoor Adventures was born.

Our Location: we have exclusive guiding rights to over 700sq. miles of prime big game hunting area. Our territory is located N.E. of Clinton, B.C. Clients who are traveling by air can fly to airports in either Williams Lake or Kamloops and will be picked up by one of our staff free of charge. Those who drive will be met in Clinton or 70 Mile House and escorted to our camp.

Moose Hunting: healthy bull to cow ratio. The majority of Moose Hunts are done during height of the Rut. Hunts are conducted by 4-wheel drive vehicle, on foot and by horseback and can be tailored to suit any hunter's abilities.

Mule Deer Hunting: Our area supports an excellent Mule Deer population and produces Trophy Class Bucks year after year. This is in large part due to management strategies that allow many Bucks to live out their lives and reach their Full Trophy Potential. MOA's Trophy Mule Deer hunts begin in early November and run until December 10. The country in which we hunt Deer is a mixture of timbered and semi-open benchlands giving way to steep, south facing river breaks. Generally these are cold weather hunts with snow on the ground to help make spotting and tracking a little easier.

Mountain Lion Hunts: Our territory has a healthy number of cats, and are located in a region known for Trophy Toms. During these winter hunts we travel snow covered roads and trails using a 4x4 and/or snowmobile until a suitable Cat track is found. Once we are certain the track is fresh, the hounds are turned loose. Almost nothing compares to the excitement when trailing a pack of hounds in pursuit of a Wild Cat. Mature Toms in our area range from 140 - 200 lbs. We have experienced guides and dogs, and good equipment. With good snow conditions our success rate is quite high.

Lynx Hunts: This large footed, member of the Cat family is well known for its crafty ability to elude hounds. Lynx are doing very well in BC, Canada as their primary food source, the Snowshoe Hare, has been graced with an abundance of good habitat. Large numbers of hares mean that female Lynx have large, healthy litters of kittens, ensuring stability in the population. Usually it is not necessary to cover much ground in order to find a reasonably fresh Lynx track. From there, the dogs are turned out and the race is on. BC, Canada is the only place in No. America where Lynx can legally be hunted this way. A Lynx chase can last anywhere from 5 mins to several hours. This is an action-packed hunt from start to finish.

Bobcat Hunts:
Bobcats are generally hunted as an addition to a Cougar and/or Lynx as their tracks are often found while searching for others. The Bobcats in our region have thick, full coats and are among the most sought after by the fur industry. These cats are also hunted with hounds and can lead a very exciting chase. We offer Lynx/Bobcat combo hunts.

Black Bear Hunts: British Columbia has become well known for its excellent Black Bear hunting. Our Spring Bear hunts offer great opportunities to harvest thick-furred interior Black Bears in a variety of color phases. Bear hunting is done by traveling logging roads in four wheel drive vehicles and glassing grassy openings in search of hungry bruins grazing on fresh, spring vegetation. Once a suitable Bear is found, a stalk is made to get within range. Success on this exciting hunt is very high as Bears are generally quite easy to find during this time of year. Mature boars in our area will square over 6 feet and approximately 30% of the area's Bears are brown or cinnamon color.

Mixed species timber stands and willow-choked meadows in the north
to the arid bench lands and river breaks to the south.
