Lost
Guide Outfitters is a small but Very Experienced operation, we have been
in the outfitting business for over 20 years and have lived, ranched,
trapped and hunted in this area for over 40 years. We offer Moose hunting,
Elk hunting, Whitetail Deer hunting and Mule deer hunting in the Mountain
zone and the Foothills zone of Alberta, Canada.
Lost Guide Outfitters provides Mountain Horseback Hunts
in the Canadian Rockies and Ranchland Hunts in the Foothills. We offer
a true wilderness hunting experience.
Mountain
Horseback Hunts: Moose, Elk, Mule Deer & Whitetail hunting trips take
place in the the upper Clearwater River valley, Lost Guide Lake and Forbidden
Creek. It is bordered on the west by Banff National Park, home to some
of the most beautiful big game animals in the world and to the south by
the Ya-ha-Tinda Ranch, which is one of the largest elk wintering areas
in western Canada. Motor vehicles are banned from this area. Our clients
are transported to and from camp by team & wagon. Saddle and pack
horses are provided for day hunts and fly camps. If you prefer to hunt
on foot there are excellent opportunities to take a trophy close to camp.

Foothills Hunts: are similar to the Ranchland Hunts in the mountain
region, but are lower in elevation and generally drier. Forests of spruce,
pine and poplar are often broken by tracts of grassland. This area provides
good habitat for a variety of wildlife. We have a comfortable tent camp,
experienced Guides and an excellent Cook. As members of APOS (Alberta
Professional Outfitters Society) we are bonded, fully licensed and insured.

Our mountain area includes the upper Clearwater River Valley, Forbidden

west and Ya-ha-Tinda ranch to the south. The upper portion of our area
is closed to motorized vehicles and is accessible by horseback or team
