Footsteps Africa, a Safari and Hunting operator, is owned and operated by Nick Prinsloo who has hunted from a very early age. Our base camp is located at the Lagae La Batsomi (House of the Hunters) luxury lodge near the picturesque foothills of the Waterberg only 8 kilometers from Bela Bela, amidst lush indigenous bush. Here you will be treated like royalty and your function or conference will be transformed as an occasion to be remembered.
Hunts are conducted in the provinces of South Africa and in neighboring countries such as Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.



Hunting Safari: Safaris are conducted in a very personalized manner and every client is attended to individually.
Hunting groups are kept separate, with hand picked professional hunters directing each hunt. Footsteps Africa is known for rifle as well as bow hunting. Footsteps Africa has secured choice hunting concessions throughout South Africa to ensure that our clients receive only the ultimate quality trophies.

The Big Five: Footsteps Africa offers clients a vast range of species to choose from including the Big Five - Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo.


Airport Pickup: At the airport you will be met immediately by one of our friendly professional staff. During the drive to camp many questions and answers will be exchanged and your comfort level will increase. Upon arrival at the camp, our friendly staff will assist you in settling into your African Adventure.

Trophy Transport & Taxidermy: we employ professional techniques for the preparation of trophies with specialized skinning staff and dipping and shipping. At the end of each hunt, we ensure that trophies are transported to a taxidermist for all the necessary treatment which guarantees that a trophy is shipped and delivered in pristine condition.



Planning your Adventure: Planning your hunting safari may seem to many like a daunting endeavor, but with Footsteps Africa we take pride in providing you with all the information needed to make the task an easy one, even if this is your first safari to Africa. To ensure our clients stay in Africa abounds in pleasant experiences, we make certain each hunting safari is designed to accommodate their needs. Our goal is to share with you the Africa we love and give you an adventure full of remarkable memories that will last a lifetime.



Lodging: Other facilities include a hall of 320 sq. meters with separate serving area and ablutions, ideal for a conferences, year end functions and workshops. A lapa with open boma capable to accommodate up to 100 people for that special, more informal occasion like birthdays and reunions. The full range of tables, chairs, cutlery and crockery is provided with the above. A fully stocked licensed bar and big screen TV is also available.



Meals: Let our gourmet chef tantalize your taste buds with a delicious traditional English breakfast or a wholesome home cooked dinner served on the veranda overlooking the pool. Traditional African cuisine are served under the star studded night sky at the Bome. If you prefer a private pampering session in the peace & quiet of the bush Legae la Batsomi, it can be arranged.

Fly-in options are also available. These are particularly popular with our clients who visit under a time constraint.
